Another important thing to be thought that we can see in our daily life that good body builders ,in their older age have great problem of Joint pain, body ache and they suffer from various physical problem specially in humidityfull atmosphere(rainy season) means the health which they gained in their youngerhood becomes a problem in older age even they can not take a proper sleep.
Apart of all above ,In yoga it gives us over all growth means it fulfils the World Health Oraganisation's Healthy indivisual definition (Health is a state of complete physical ,mental,social,spiritual wellbeing and not to merely the absence of disease or illness.)

SURYA NAMASKAR/SUN SALUTATION
SURYA NAMASKAR/SUN SALUTATION
"A person who salutes sun regularly, he never be poor for thousands of births"
Basically it set of 12 Asans continously. Seven asans continue and the next five are repeatation of others .We are special in sun saluting bcoz we perform sun saluting with vedic mantras.
Another aspect , pouring water to sun by a pot standing in sun light with a spiritual heart also callid suryanamaskar (Ardhya / Sun saluting)
How to do?
As mentioned Surya Namaskar is a flowing series of 12 yoga postures. These are described below.
Synchronizing the breath with the movements of the body is very important. The basic breathing principle is to inhale during backward bending postures and exhale during forward bending postures.
The Twelve Postures:
1. Pranamasana (Salutation posture)
Stand erect with feet together. Join the palms together in front of the chest. Concentrate on standing straight, steady and in a prayerful attitude. This posture helps to induce a state of introversion, relaxation and calmness. It activates the anahata chakra. Exhale fully.
2. Hastauttanasana (Raised arm posture)
Inhaling stretch both arms above the head, palms facing upward. Arch the back and stretch the whole body. This posture stretches the chest and the abdomen and lifts the Prana (energy) upward to the upper parts of the body propelled by inhalation.
3. Padahastasana (Hand to foot posture)
Exhaling bend the body forward and down, keeping the spine straight. Avoid collapsing the chest or "over-rounding" the upper back. Keep the legs straight and perpendicular to the ground. The knees may be allowed to bend a little if needed. This posture massages the abdominal organs, especially the liver, kidneys, pancreas, adrenals, uterus and ovaries. The power of digestion increases and female disorders such as prolapse and menstrual irregularities are relieved. A healthy flow of blood is sent to the spinal nerves as they are stretched and toned. The hamstring muscles at the back of the thigh and calf muscles are stretched and toned. Inversion increases blood flow to the brain. The Prana is channeled to the lower regions of the body propelled by exhalation.
4. Ashwa Sanchalanasana (Equestrian posture)
On your next inhalation, extend the left leg back and drop the knee to the ground. The right knee is bent and kept between the hands and the right foot placed flat on the ground. Lift the spine and open the chest. Concentrate at the eyebrow center.
5. Parvatasana (Mountain posture)
On the kumbhaka bring the right leg back to join with the left leg. Simultaneously raise the buttocks and lower the head between the arms, so that the body forms a triangle with the floor. Try to place the heels flat on the ground. Focus awareness at the neck area. This posture strengthens the nerves and muscles in the arms and legs, stretches the calf muscles and Achilles' tendons and makes the spine straight and taut. It relieves varicose veins and tones spinal nerves. Maintaining the posture take a deep inhalation
6. Ashtanga Namaskara (Salutation with eight limbs)
Exhaling gently drop both knees to the ground and slowly slide the body down at an angle as you bring the chest and chin to the ground. All eight limbs - toes, knees, chest, hands and chin - touch the floor. The buttocks are kept up. Hold the breath. This posture develops the chest and strengthens arms. It sends additional blood to this area helping to rejuvenate the nerves.
7. Bhujangasana (Cobra posture)
On the inhalation, lower the hips while pushing the chest forward and upward with the hands, until the spine is fully arched and the head is facing up. The knees and lower abdomen remain above the floor. Focus the awareness at the base of spine and feel the tension from the forward pull. This pose gives dynamic expansion to the organs of the chest and abdomen, relieving many ailments such as asthma, constipation, indigestion, kidney and liver problems. It is very helpful in relieving tension in the back muscles and spinal nerves.

Create obsructions in pathway of different organs by muscular constrictin is called Bandha.
The target of bandha is to stimulate kundalini by stimulating or enhancing energy.In this process getting energy kundalini become soften and enters into sushumana nadi from Muladhar chakra.Basic Bandhas are 3 in number
Mul Bandha - Tightly & upward constriction of anorectal muscles (Anal lock)
Uddiyan Bandha - Exhaling out air and contraticg the abdominal muscle & elevating diaphragm (Abdominal lock)
Jalandhar Bandha -Constriction of laryngeal muscles & touching chin to chest (Chin lock)
Note :- Never practice Bandhas in absence of experienced yoga trainer.

These are six yogic purificatory (cleansing) methods which are as beneficial as Ayurvedic panchkarma .The aim of Panchkarma is physical purification & apart of this aim of shatkarma is physical as well as mental purification'
Basic shatkarmas are :

"Pranayama is control and extension of Breath".
"Prana" is Breath or vital energy in the body. On subtle levels prana represents the pranic energy responsible for life or life force, and "ayama" means control. So Pranayama is "Control of Breath". One can control the rhythms of pranic energy with pranayama and achieve healthy body and mind.
Patanjali in his text of Yoga Sutras mentioned pranayama as means of attaining higher states of awareness, he mentions the holding of breath as important practice of reaching Samadhi. Hatha Yoga also talks about 8 types of pranayama which will make the body and mind healthy. Five types of prana are responsible for various pranic activities in the body, they are Prana, Apana, Vyan, Udana & Samana. Out of these Prana and Apana are most important. Prana is upward flowing and Apana is downward flowing.
Practice of Pranayama achieves the balance in the activities of these pranas, which results in healthy body and mind.

And therefore, if it is done wrongly, it may do harm to the person. This fear dissuades many from taking up Pranayama. The second reason for its unpopularity is the absence of teachers who can teach it scientifically. However, it is true that if one does Pranayama unscientifically, without proper guidance, one certainly suffers. But it does not mean that it is such a difficult process, that it cannot be done by a common man. On the contrary, if it is learnt and practiced under an expert's guidance, one learns soon and experiences the wonderful and even unimaginable benefits.
In Patanjali's "Ashtanga Yoga", Pranayama appears at the fourth stage. This means unless one observes Yama-Niyama and does Asanas well, he cannot reach this fourth stage. Even the Asanas discussed here are presented in their preliminary form. Therefore, for doing Pranayama, it is not enough to have done the Asanas as mentioned here. Even after learning these Asanas and having practiced them, one needs some preparation before actually taking up Pranayama. And an attempt is made to discuss that preparation.
